When it comes to predicting election outcomes, it's kind of like the song says, "Sometimes you're the windshield/Sometimes you're the bug."
I stuck with my prediction of a month ago on the recall. I said the recall would lose, and Cruz Bustamonte would get the most votes among the replacement candidates. I guess I was off a little bit.

or, sometimes the bear will eat you, sometimes you eat the bear. i'm afraid the bear's gonna eat a lot of california for a while. i just hope this thing doesn't spread like the cancer it is, to mix a couple of metaphors. we don't have any movie stars in delaware, thank god.
Dear Bruce, At least you can hold your head up high in Austria as an American on your next visit! You'll be so popular you won't have to buy yourself a drink during your whole stay, and when you tell them you're from Califonria you won't have to buy any dinners either! Of course, it might be best to keep mum about how you actually voted on 7 October . . . David
