Gosh, you think Iran might have an interest in a guarantee like this?

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Tuesday the United States would not attack North Korea, rejecting a suggestion that Pyongyang may feel it needs nuclear weapons to stave off an Iraq-style US invasion. President George W. Bush, Rice said, has told the "the North Koreans that there is no intention to invade or attack them. So they have that guarantee. ... I don't know what more they want."

Let's see ...  Iraq had no nuclear weapons or other "WMDs".  They got invaded and their country is now a major mess.  North Korea claims to have tested a nuclear bomb, and the Secretary of State goes out and says there's no chance the US would invade them.

Now, if you were a policymaker in Iran, the third member of the "axis of evil", what lessons might you take from this?
