Chuckie Watch 43: Chuckie vs. Kerry

Ole Chuckie just don't thank much of John Kerry. He's been a'rantin' about Kerry People. The basic point of that post is that Kerry supporters shouldn't object when the Republicans slime Kerry. Of course, Chuckie gits all huffy when people criticize Bush the Magnificent, Liberator of Peoples and Hammer of Righteousness. But I guess that's different.

Chuckie's seems to be on a swing away from the Dark Side, so he's trying to sound a little moderate. This is how Chuckie goes about that:

It’s unfortunate that political campaigns have become sordid and underhanded and here I place the blame on both parties. Neither is blameless when it comes to dishing out the dirt, but the institution which has to accept most of the blame is the media.

They pick up on and perpetuate rumors, innuendo and downright untruths, the filthier the better and then turn around and roundly criticize the political parties for mud slinging. There would be no need for slinging mud if the media didn’t tell the world about it.

Now, it was only in March that Chuckie himself was calling Kerry a "traitor to the military." So maybe others besides The Media help spread some of these things.

But Chuckie just may not be clear on some of this stuff.  After all, this is a guy who still believes that Iraq had WMDs. And he really thinks that Fox News is "fair and balanced."

I guess we should show a little compassion for Chuckie's limitations. So, let's all agree not to tell him the truth about the Tooth Fairy, okay?
