I just picture the scene the morning after Britney's and Jason's wedding:
"Jason, ah cain't believe we just got married. Maybe we oughta tell somebody what we done did."
"Gol-lee, Britney, ah thank you're prob'ly right."
But the most interesting theory I've heard so far is that Boo decided to get married so quickly because of her interest in Kabbalah (Jerusalem Post 01/05/04):
Kabbala, from the hebrew word kabel, meaning 'to receive,' is based on the basic truths of the universe, and places emphasis on marriage and the family, which Spears could have interpreted as a chance to settle down and start anew, sources told The New York Post on Sunday.
The Kabbala's view on marriage, according to Hananya Goodman, who has written on the subject, is traditional, based on the teachings of the Jewish religion but "in a highly mystical and sometimes sexualized version."
However, Goodman explained to The Jerusalem Post that the form of Kabbala practiced by celebrities such as Madonna and Britney is not the traditional teaching but a New Age version.
He said, "Kabbalistic texts are a commentary on the Torah. The study of it assumes a knowledge which these actors and actresses do not possess."
Kabbalah is Jewish mysticism. It's based on Orthodox Judaism and assumes that not only is the Torah the literal word of God, but that each letter in the Hebrew text of the Torah has a special symbolic meaning. I once heard a good observation that New Agers are looking for Zen without Buddhism, Sufi without Islam and Kabbalah withou Judaism. But to really get into Kabbalah, you would need to be fluent in Hebrew and very conversant with Orthodox Jewish spirituality.
I don't think Little Boo is quite there yet. She should probably stick with the Southern Baptists for a while yet. Not everyone knows this, but Southern Baptists can not only get born again. They can also get "second virginity."

Yeah, I see the connection ;)
Or maybe the Jan 6 entry at http://www.borowitzreport.com/ was really right with his headline: BRITNEY BAR MITZVAHED
Sounds like an episode of the Family Guy to me, tho
Yeah, I'm glad to see that people are finally beginning to recognize what a deep and insightful personal Britney really is. I mean, the Yankee critics just bash her all the time because her Southern accent must just drive them crazy or something, I don't know. :) - Bruce
