Getting tired of the War Democrats flacking for the Republicans

These War Democrats at the DLC really bug me sometimes.  The DLC's Bull Moose blog (are these posts still written by former Christian Coalition operative Will Marshall?) has completely drunk the Republican Kool-Aid on the Lieberman-Lamont primary race in Connecticut, it seems:  Joephobia 07/27/06.

The lefties loathing of Lieberman is deep and obsessive. It is ultimately not just about the Iraq war.

The hating, of course, has much to do with President Bush. The real passion of the left is the loathing of the President of the United States. The left's beef with Joe is that he believes that there should be some limits on political attacks on the Commander-in-Chief during wartime. ...

The left's irrational hatred toward Joe is indicative of their view that the President is a greater threat to America than Jihadist fascism. Indeed, the Moose wonders whether the left truly believes that there is any danger from the radical Islamic reactionary force that is opposed to all liberal values.

That rant is just nonsense.  And what I quoted isn't event he worst part.

I've described my own view of Lieberman and the DINO phenomenon (Democrats In Name Only) elsewhere: DINOs, go away! The Blue Voice 08/06/06.

But that part I quoted from Bull Moose is worse than standard DINO talk.  They're into David Horowitz territory - and that's not a nice place to be.

By the way, what is "Jihadist fascism" exactly?  Oh, never mind, foolish me.  All our enemies are the new Hitler, so the Other Side must be "fascist".  Got it.

Let's see, is it "the left" that has the American delegations in UN bodies support the same position as conservative Islamic countries on birth control, women's rights and abortion?  No, that would be the Cheney-Bush administration.

Is it "the left" that installed Islamic regimes in Afghanistan and Iraq?  No, that would be the Cheney-Bush administration, too.

I mean, Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton have been War Democrats, too.  But they're not nearly this loony.
