Even without the constraints of AOL TOS, I wouldn't write exactly like Steve Gilliard on this blog. But I did crack up laughing when I read his comments on the fact that "General Judy" Miller, Ahmed Chalabi's journalistic stooge at the New York Times, was allowed to publish yet another story based on Chalabi's manufactured "evidence."
And this after the NYT has been apologizing all over the place for their gullible, wrong reporting on Iraqi WMDs - for which Judy Miller was the main culprit. Here's Gilliard's comment (slightly edited with ***):
Documents from Iraqi ministries. You mean the master forger Chalabi came up with some new ******** to smoke the Americans? I cannot ******* believe Bill Keller is so stupid as to run this ******** in his newspaper. How can he trust Miller at this point? How can he not fire her ******* ***. Backing her is simply outrageous., And what makes this worse is that this story relies on the lying goat ******* Chalabi. Come on, didn't you call this ******** a liar last week? Now, you run a story Miller could have only gotten from him and his minions?
But Gilliard does cuss with literary flair!
(There are several more temperate versions of the same idea out there in Left Blogostan. But Gilliard's particular rant just tickled my funny bone for some reason.)
