Chuckie Watch 55: Chuckie vs. Ted

I'm on a long-weekend trip to Mississippi.  So I'm posting today from Waynesboro, Ground Zero in Mississippi's unending struggle against treason and subversion.

So naturally I logged on to git Chuckie's latest word for the Patriotically Correct.  Ole Chuckie's done written an Open Letter to Ted Kennedy. Chuckie's been hearin' Ted Kennedy complaining about torture in the Bush-and-Rummy gulag and its consequences like, you know, enraging the entire Muslim world against the United States.  And not really making the Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhisms too warm and cuddly about the Bush Administrations current policies, either.

And Chuckie don't like it.  Ted K's criticism, that is.  Chuckie generally really don't much like Ted Kennedy, I git the impression.  Anyway, Chuckie's askin' ole Ted questions like:

Has our military dropped anybody off a roof tied to a chair?

Has our military run anybody through a shredder feet first?

I think Chuckie's general idea is that since the torture in the Bush-and-Rummy gulag isn't as extensive as under Saddam's regime, it's okay.  Or at least everyone should just shut up and not worry about it.  This gives us some idea of the level of standards Chuckie thanks our country should stand for.  "At least we're better than Saddam Hussein!"  Yep, that's a slogan to fire any patriot's heart.

But I don't think Chuckie's been readin' the news too careful.  Cause he also asks:

Has our military raped women and tortured children while making the husband and father watch, helpless to do anything about it?

Unfortunately, Chuckie, there have already been credible reports that in fact such things have been happening.

But maybe they forgot to mention that on Fox News.  They didn't talk about that on Oxycontin radio?  Gosh, Chuckie, you may be missing out on a thing or two.

probably pretty hot down there in MS, it certainly is here in DE - humid, thunderstormy.  my least favorite kind of weather.  listen, what has happened to the "it was a wedding/no, it was foreign guerrilla fighters" situation?  it has disappeared from any news i've seen.  which i'm afraid will be its fate, if indeed we did bomb a wedding in the desert and kill the celebrants, as it certainly looks to me that we did.  have you seen anything recently?
